I’ve been diverted by my new column: “Dr. Joan’s Sports Psych Talk.” The column can be viewed either at moremarin.com or sfgate.com. Just search for the above to see the column. My titles in April have been: “Just what does a sports psychologist do anyways?” and “The Power of the Luna Chix Summit.” I did another one in March, interviewing and highlighting an elite amateur athlete, Jeri Howland’s mental plans for running the local Northern California race called “Way Too Cool.” The title was “Ultrarunner shares her strategies for success.”
I’ve also been busy interviewing more female athletes for my book on relationships and female athletes and re-working my proposal for the —-th time. Persistence! Persistence! Persistence! How you get what you want in life!!! Just one more challenge, training for my first marathon in 7 years —-Portland Marathon here we come. I’ll be doing a new blog post highlighting one or a couple of the female athletes recently interviewed at the end of the week.
